Other was created and performed for Free Fall 2013. Curated by Yiorgos Zafiriou in partnership with Oxford Art Factory and Chalk Horse Gallery Live art events, Other is durational performance work made from the friction of headlines at the time. Anti immigration headlines and rhetoric that demonised refugees became the kindling that sparked this work. Three ideologies from the media were taken as the foundations of this exploratory work. “ Stop The Boats”, “Lucky Country” “ A better Life” became the central themes explored. http://www.oxfordartfactory.com/categ...
