Breathless, climbing the chill mountain. Pushing and pulling to give expression to curiosity. Scratched from rolling down the hills together. Finding a dance with friends. We fed leeches and mosquitoes. The human voice of the Đàn bầu singing down the mountain. Delicious home cooked meals garden to table. Passionate village karaoke.

Thank you for throwing us all together. I'm grateful for the awkward silences, some moments of loneliness and the gift of so many questions. I left the mountains with bruises, blisters and beautiful memories.
